China’s Young Innovators Take Centre Stage at the 2025 World Young Scientist Summit (WYSS) in Wenzhou

WENZHOU, China — October 26, 2025 — The 2025 World Young Scientist Summit (WYSS) concluded this weekend at the Ouhai Olympic Sports Centre in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, bringing together bright young minds and cutting-edge science under one roof. The four-day event highlighted the growing creativity, innovation and curiosity of China’s youth.

Held under the theme of science-led collaboration, WYSS featured the “Gravity π” exhibition — an immersive science and technology fair designed to engage the public and inspire future innovators. The exhibition showcased a range of emerging technologies, including new energy vehicles, AI large-model applications, wearable exoskeletons, AR smart glasses and low-altitude aircraft.

Youth innovation was a defining feature of this year’s summit. On October 25, the Youth Science and Innovation Culture Festival brought together schools and youth groups from Wenzhou’s 12 districts and counties. Students presented science projects, interactive experiments, and creative performances, turning the venue into a lively celebration of imagination and discovery.

The WYSS, launched in 2019, has become one of China’s most influential international platforms for young scientists and innovators. This year’s edition once again underscored the country’s investment in fostering scientific curiosity and global collaboration among the next generation.
