Second Yantai International Vocational Education Exchange and Cooperation Conference Opens

【November 24, Yantai, China】The Second Yantai International Vocational Education Exchange and Cooperation Conference officially opened. The event was hosted by the Yantai Municipal People’s Government and jointly organized by the Yantai Municipal Foreign Affairs Office and the Yantai Municipal Education Bureau.

The conference welcomed distinguished guests, including the Minister of Vocational Training from the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Deputy Minister of National Education and New Citizens, representatives from UNESCO, diplomats from Brazil, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, and Fiji, as well as the Mayor of Colonia, one of Yantai’s international sister cities. Nearly 100 participants attended, including renowned experts in vocational education, representatives from industry associations, vocational colleges, and leading enterprises from both China and abroad.

This event marks another significant initiative by the Yantai Foreign Affairs Office to enhance its “Foreign Affairs+” brand, empower vocational education, and advance Yantai’s high-level international openness. It established a high-level platform for international collaboration in vocational education and talent recruitment.

The conference not only opened new avenues for Yantai’s vocational education sector to learn from advanced international practices but also built a bridge for attracting high-level vocational education talent. Furthermore, it created new channels for promoting international exchanges in vocational education, enabling Yantai’s vocational institutions to “go global” and better serve the needs of countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative, as well as overseas Chinese-funded enterprises. This effort significantly enhances the global reputation and influence of Yantai’s vocational education sector.
