During the tour on October 26, 2024, delegates visited key sites such as the Zhongyuan Medical Science City, Loongson Technology’s Zhongyuan Headquarters, and the Zhengzhou International Land Port, gaining firsthand insights into the transformative potential driving economic growth in the Central Plains.
The delegation noted that Zhongyuan Medical Science City, covering 40.2 square kilometers, is developing a “five-medical” circular model that integrates medical research, education, treatment, engineering, and pharmaceuticals. This comprehensive approach has created strong initial momentum and notable advancements in medical science.
Loongson Technology, a national leader in domestic CPUs, stands out with its extensive portfolio of 748 patents and 68 software copyrights, strengthening China’s position in high-tech innovation. Meanwhile, the Zhengzhou International Land Port offers impressive logistics capabilities, with 300,000 square meters of warehousing space and 500,000 square meters for new energy vehicle services.
The Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone, approved by the State Council as the only national-level pilot area for aviation economic development, plays a crucial role in the “Silk Road in the Air” initiative. With its focus on modern logistics, international trade, and high-tech industries, the zone has become a pivotal growth engine, enhancing Henan’s role within China’s broader economic landscape.
