300,000 Mu of Wild Cherry Blossoms Paint Xianning in Spring

 

As March ushers in spring, the wild cherry blossoms of Gexianshan, in Guantangyi Town, Chibi City, Hubei, are awakening in a spectacular display, drawing visitors from near and far to bask in the season’s most enchanting colors.

Perched on the border of Chibi City and Chongyang County, Gexianshan’smain peak rises 642.7 meters above sea level. Amid its lush forests, 24,000 mu of original wild cherry trees thrive naturally, forming the heart of Xianning’scelebrated cherry blossom clusters. Gexianshan’s wild cherry trees in Chibiare currently at their peak, with a sea of blossoms unfurling across the mountains—truly the most enchanting time to behold them all year.

As a rare haven of native wild cherry blossoms in China, Xianning boasts nearly 300,000 mu of flowering trees, making its springtime blooms truly unrivaled. Beyond Gexianshan, blossoms at Longquanshanin Chongyang, Damu Mountain in Xian’an, Huangpao Mountain in Tongcheng, and Linshang Village in Xiapu Town, Tongshanwill gradually unfold, creating a month-long floral spectacle. With a flowering period of up to a month, tourists can visit at different times to admire the blossoms and savor the beauty of spring.
