Two Canadians Win $1 Million Each in Easter Lotto Max Draw

The Easter long weekend turned out to be a lucky one for two lottery players across Canada who each won $1 million in the April 3 Lotto Max draw.

According to PlayNow, two people managed to match the winning numbers in the Maxmillions draw. As a result, two lottery players are each $1 million richer after purchasing their winning tickets in Logan Lake, B.C., and Quebec.

The Lotto Max jackpot was $70 million, but no one won the top prize. Two people in Ontario matched six of the seven numbers plus the bonus number to win the second prize. Each winner will take home $141,274.20. The third prize will be split among 61 lottery winners, who will each receive $4,631.90.

Another Canadian also won $1 million on April 4 when they matched the Lotto 6/49 White Ball winning number. The ticket was sold in Ontario. No one won the Gold Ball prize worth $22 million.

The Lotto Max jackpot continues to grow — the next draw is on Tuesday, April 7, and the jackpot is now worth $75 million, with 12 Maxmillions prizes.
